Is anyone else unable to take antihistamines?

I am chemically sensitive to a lot of medicines but one of the most frustrating sensitivities is to antihistamines. It doesn't seem to matter which one I take, but I end up getting red burst blood vessels, rash, and other nasty side effects.

The only medicine I can tolerate is Flonase.

I have tried various inhalers but they too give me side effects.

I am about to try allergy shots starting this week, and I'm wondering what everyone's experience with allergy shots are?

I'm also wondering if there are anyone else who is unable to take antihistamines?

I had allergy shots about ten years ago for perfume allergy and it worked a treat!!! So I would definitely give it a go if I was you, it really worked for me and lasted for quite a few years.

Thanks for the advice Poppie. May I ask how long you underwent your shots for was it more than a year?

Mmmm good question...I have a bad memory, it was all done over a period of six months I believe, not that long, I think I initially went twice a week, then weekly, then monthly...I may have to undergo the same again if I cannot get my perfume allergy under control, but I can tell you it was a bleeding miracle ha ha! worked a treat, stopped the perfume allergy really well...best of luck
