I got influenza days ago i took antibiotics in the bloed results the infection is gonne but i always get a lot coaf since my infection dry hoest but then started to come white flems and saliva uit, soms i feel short breathing, pain in chest, sweety tired, my doc keep saying is a kind of allergy but i think an allergy cant be so severe, with hoest and breath difficulty sometimes, and he gave me symbicort, budesonide inhalations, ventolin if i get so sofocated or cant breath good, paracetamol, sirup for the coaf and acetilsalisilicum bags also i was taking before xyzall montelukast and symbicort since 2012 every day
My question can be asma or a kind of bad allergy, thx a lot

Hi! This is my first time on the asthma thread (but I've had asthma a long time), but it sounds like maybe you're still a little sick from the flu. How long has this been going on? I caught the flu a few days ago as well, and am still having a lot of phlegm/runny nose/cough/dry throat. I also have been using my albuterol a little more than usual because of it. If it's only been a couple days, I might wait to see what happens. You might start feeling better. But of course if you feel worse you should see your doctor. It doesn't sound like an allergy judging from my experiences.

Longen, Elephant Pipe has great advice.

I was in the hospital over the weekend for a parainfluenza which is a kids' virus. But the symptoms are a lot the same. The ER doc told me she had just gotten over the real flu - after 3 weeks! So don't expect instantly to be cured.

Antibiotics won't cure a virus, but it's possible to get an infection on top of the flu. I'm on one now just in case, although I didn't ask for it. They stopped the Tamiflu for me after the culture came back because I didn't have the right virus.
