neurogenic cough?

I have been dealing with (what I thought) was severe asthma issues for more than 5 months and moderate ones for about a year. Before sending me to Duke university hospital for more tests related to possibly having a bronchial thermoplasty, my pulmonologist sent me to another allergy/asthma doc. I had a nitric oxide test- not a problem- shows no inflammation. Now the other specialist thinks I may have a neurogenic cough as well as the asthma and that the themoplasty may not be the solution.

Anyone here been diagnosed with this? They are going to try me on neurontin . Any experience with this med?
