Do you ever wonder how much information, or when that information should be shared with children about their allergies? Of course, by the time they are teens, I'm assuming that this is something they've already questioned and had answered.
What about young children in grade school? Children worry when they are ill. Especially with long term conditions such as allergies, and even more so with asthma. Parents worry and children are sure to pick up on that if nothing else. All the Dr. visits, the allergy shots if they are getting them, the constant changes in medications?
How do you as a parent handle this? How much and how do you tell your young child? At what age?
Let's share some info here, so that others may be helped.
Hugs, Teri
