I’m wondering if anyone on here has heart palpitations with their asthma. Not from the use of your inhalers but before it gets to the point of having to use your inhaler? I feel like when I get palls it is a warning sign for a flare up. I don’t have them often but when I do this seems to be what comes first. I have had years of cardiac work ups with no issues found. This week with the cold air it has put me down for a few days. I never wheeze but I cough (not to much) but heaviness in my chest and short of breath. I also have jaw pain that comes and goes but just in one spot not radiating or anything. I am also just finishing antibiotics for a sinus infection. Do I also have allergies with acute sinusitis. I just wa Ted to know if anyone deals with the palpitations?

I moved away for college and bc of the difference of areas I developed asthma. One night I was at a college football and the weather quickly and the barometric pressure dropped so suddenly it caused me to have a racing heart and then an asthma attack. However the racing heart got worse bc like an idiot I left my inhaler at home which on top the asthma attack caused me have a panic also. Now as I’m older I only have asthma when I get bronchitis which now I always have a racing heart rate even laying down.

Is it possible that maybe you are also experiencing panic/anxiety attack which usually you have a racing heart rate with??? I’m sorry you are going through this and know it is not easy on the body. Might want to ask you pcp about this at your next appointment.

Thanks and yes I have also wondered this too. Ny biggest problem is that I don’t experience the asthma enough to truly know when I should be using my inhaler. I think this sets me back. When my sinuses are inflamed this seems to set off the palpotations too. It is very worrisome but I try to work through these episodes. Thanks for the feedback.
