Why Can't I Go Outside Without Sneezing and Draining?

The air is a little cold at 35F and when it hits inside my nose, there is extreme irritation to the point that my eyes water, I sneeze and cough. Especially from smoke from fireplaces. I had a killer head cold for 9 days and now my chest burns. No fever, headache, or body aches. My doctor said its the cold dry air and allergies. I am allergic to spring things, but never like this in winter/fall.I have not left my house in a ,month and live alone and see no one, so how could I catch anything? Maybe the deliveries? I am waiting for medicine to be delivered called, flucasone nasal spray and claritine allergy pills. Just finished a Zpack antibiotic that didn't touch it.

Good advice. Inside, the humidity should be at least 45%.
An instrument that measures indoor humidity is inexpensive.
