I have had no problem with peanuts or peanut butter until I ate a sandwich with Jif. My reaction to sulfites is tachycardia. ( I've had it bad enough to trigger a heart attack from spasm in a coronary artery.)
I read the ingredients and was surprised to see molasses. I know I can't eat cereals or cookies with molasses, but didn't think to check on peanut butter, although it's often sweetened!
On checking other brands in the store I found other brands that are "clean." Oh, well. One more food item not to trust. If there is a family history of sulfite sensitivity/allergy, it would be wise not to give children peanut butter with molasses!
