Hi ishilk, welcome to Healingwell. It could be psychoschematic (sp?) that your stomach hurts when you smell smoke. It could've been something in your past that made you throw up from something else after smelling smoke. I had that happen when I was little, except it was cheese potatoes. Now whenever I smell them I want to vomit and my stomach starts cramping. But I know it's not the potatoes themselves causing this in me but my mind.
If you don't smoke, second hand smoke is always best to avoid anyway. Take care
