still coughing

I am torn between going to the walk in clinic or not.  I woke up yesterday with a "soft cough" deep in my chest.  This went on all day sometimes a hacking cough too.  My chest began hurting from all the coughing about midday yesterday.  I do not seem to be struggling for breath as a severe asthma attack would make you do.  I did use my nebulizer one time last night at aout 7pm.  The treatment did not seem to make a big difference if any difference.  I woke up this morning and still have this cough.  I always tend to have wheezing that I can feel in my lower left lung.  I was able to feel it a bit more last night.  I am unsure if I had a sudden onset of bronchitis however I have not had a cold or any symptoms of one although people around me are all suffering from a cold.  I do take asthmanex and singulair daisly for my asthma.  I also take entocort for my crohn's disease which is a corticosteroid with less side effects of pred. 

Currently I am dizzy from my coughing and feel wheezing on and off.  Does this sound like it may be bronchitis or just an asthma issue?

How often do you have asthma flareups? If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? If you are a persistent asthmatic, ask your MD to start you on a management program using a peak flow meter so you will know when you need to step up txs before any symptoms start occuring. Also, if you have a cough that just doesn't seem to go away, ask your MD about prescribing something called a "flutter" or "occapello" as these simple devices work wonders on breaking up any mucous in the lungs so you can cough them up. You simply blow into them; your breath send vibrations down the trachea into the lungs which causes the mucous to break up. These devices are used for asthmatics, bronchitis, bronchiectisis, phneumonia, emphysema.

Also, if you can, use a nasal saline spray to keep the cilia of the nose clean. This will cut down on infections & colds.
