Eye Allergy

I've had the strangest inflammation on the inside corner of my left eye for the past 6 weeks. I've run the gamut of Patanol, Gentamyacin (sp?) and now I'm on Tobradex. I've also been taking benadryl daily. I don't have goopy eyes, they're not running, but boy it sure is red in that corner. It sometimes itches, but really it's just irritated looking.

Trying to figure out what could cause this. I haven't been gardening lately, haven't worn any new (or old) makeup, soap and shampoo haven't changed...nothing. The only thing we can think of is our farm cat had a kitten and I was picking her up and cuddling her for a time. I don't think I'm allergic to cats, but these are outside cats. Could it be that? I'm reaching here -- just trying to figure out what I should stay away from so it doesn't come back (once it's gone).

I rarely put drops in my eyes before all of this stuff started. I'm really careful about getting too close to my eye with the dropper, so I know that isn't it. Dang, sure wish I could figure out what this is.
