Hello everyone.
I had a call a while ago from my neice. She had recieved a call at work from My sisters husband(and a total waste of space in my opinion) aparently he couldnt wake my sister up this morning. Instead of caling someone right there and then,he left her untill 12.30 lunch time and then called my niece(his daughter) at work. She called up NHS direct who said "why didnt he call an ambulance straight away." My niece went home imediatly and my sister had then woken up but was very hot, shaking and crying. One of my other sisters has taken them up to the hospital again, but what are they going to say? probably the same as yesterday "nothing we can do take her home"
Hi Sue, the same thing happened with my mother yesterday, the day before she wasn't very cooperative both verbally and pysically and i thought it's one of the "down" days but yesterday as i was waking her up she only openned her eyes and no matter what i was getting NO responce except for painful stimulus (i pinched her).....I took her temprature she was feverish, so there :an intecurrent illness, she was sick all day, i caught that flu, same day, al day around I walked with the mother of all headaches and indescribable pain ......so my guess is for a dementia patient an intercurrent illness drives them into a semi-conscious state.......My mother got better once the fever subsided..........i hope your sister did too
