I would encourage you to seek out professional help from a therapist or Psy who specializes in Obsessive thoughts disorder. It sounds like the pain and suffering you are having from these obsessive thoughts are difficult for you to explain. This is not an uncommon condition and is very treatable. You have started your medication and most of these meds may take as long as 6-8 weeks to reach there peak. . You can feel safe and happy with the proper care. Let the people who love you know you want their support, even though they may not understand what you are going through.

Curious nice to meet you, i understand how you feel.Very well! I've been living this night mare since i was 22 years old and i'm 32 now! I've had the fear of dying,the heart palps,the tingling sensations and many more symtoms! I have been through many phases of anxiety.Right now i'm at a good point,i just started a new med (celexa) and its working well and for the past week or so i've been pretty stable.But there were times when i thought about death so much until it was unbelievable! The thought and the fear of dying was like an obssesion that i couldn't control! I always thought about how and when i would die! I thought about it so much that i couldn't live! Like GettingThere said it controled every aspect of my life! I'm still afraid of dying but the med that i'm taking keeps my mind off of it so i can concentrate on living instead of dying. I hope you will find peace some how and if you keep trying different things( meds and therapy) hopefully you will get better as well!

I used to be in bed at night and think, "what if I don't wake up?".  Well then my good side of my brain would say "What you going to do about it?"

So I went to sleep and I keep waking up............so kick the thoughts of dying to the curb and dream of what a good day it will be when you wake up in the morning.  Hugs to you.

Enufworry,i use to be afraid to got to sleep too because i thought i wouldn't wake up but like Kitt said i always did wake up so the thought went away.You are right this P/A causes all kinds of problems and i get so tired of living in fear but i have to keep fighting the good fight.P/A has taken a big chunk out of my life but i refuse to let it take it all! I'm going to use the little bit i have left and i'm going to fight it as hard as i can! Sometimes it throws me a huge blow that knocks me off my feet but the good lord picks me right back up and i keep on fighting! That's what we all need to do! Don't let it win! If you believe the victory can be yours!!! I realize that i'm still going to have my down points but there is nothing that the lord cant give me the strength to handle!

Thanks Panike and Lyn,  I so appreciate your support.  I went back to bed, but I'm not sure I went to sleep all night.  I'm pretty tired---but you are both absolutely right---today is a new day.  I'm having all of these physical symptoms today.  Mostly headache and weird spaceyness. I 've made a committment to myself not to whip myself up over it---and not go to Urgent Care....I tell myself that I have the option---but I'm really ok.  I think I'm having a reaction t the Neurontin that the pdoc gave me last week.  I've been feeling like this for several days.  I'm going to not take the rest of them and see if these feelings go away.  I am here now, talking to you and there are some things that I can do around my house to take care of myself so that I'm not so focused of these "symptoms".  It always feel good to have someone who "knows" be on my side.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
