waiting on the the hepatitis test or panel for a,b,c i would be shocked if i had any of them, i have been married for 13 years and i was tested for alot of stuff when i was pregnant. they said they wanted to do the test because my liver function is so high, i don't drink or take aspirin i don't know. it will be 4 to 5 days for the test to come back. confused

Waiting for results always stinks... based on what you've said I would be really surprised if you had any of them either.  Good luck!!

I understand the waiting for test results. It seems like a life time but try not to think about it and then the results will just show up.

Hi machelle..I went thru this a few years ago..my liver was not pleased with me either..and no I didn't have hep. of any sort..but what I did have was a very bad dose of anxiety eyes we had been thru a very stressful time..moved from one place to another..very bad time etc. The good news is that when my life had settled down..so did my liver - thank goodness - coz I was really worried about it too..

Machelle,

I'm sending out lots of good wishes and prayers that your tests show nothing seriously wrong, and that your doctors do find some answers for why you've been feeling rough lately.

Please let us know what you find out, and try to take you mind off the waiting as much as you can. Maybe the garden?

Hey Machelle,

I had test this morning and they have told me 3-4 working days for results to get back to my PCP.  I am being positive too, and heck with it, not much I can do about it now so I am going to just get on with life. 

You know I am right here for you my friend.

they test the liver enzymes and they have been high when they've taken a blood test

well all came back negative which i thought it would, but it still leaves the question of why my liver function , is high i think i am having gall bladder problems because my right side under my ribs hurts all the time this runs in my family, gallbladder problems. well thank you all sweeties for worrying , ya'll are such great people tongue

It still could be the bleeding Anxiety as was posted it will and can cause liver function to go outta whack
I have to have mine tested monthly for meds I am on .Methtrexate.......

NO such thing as a silly question here imho........

and am praying it is nothing to do with gall ballder.....but I do believe ( correct me if I am wrong Kitt Wen,Gramps anyone) that....... that would have shown up as an infection??,somehere in body........and have docs look for another reason

Lyn,   I'm not sure that gallstones/gallbladder problems would show up as an infection.  But if it's gallstones it could very likely show up on an ultrasound (I think that's how they found mine-can't remember for sure though).  When the surgery was done to remove the gallbladder, he said it was full of stones and there was a lot of scar tissue.   Love ya, Sis

I'm glad to hear that the hepatitis tests all came back negative. I know that still leaves you wondering and worrying about why you don't feel well, and why your liver enzymes are high, but ruling out such a serious disease as hep is a good thing.

Have your doctors said what they want to do now? Please keep us posted. We really care about you and what you're going through.

FYI for anyone interested:

Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder, usually resulting from a gallstone blocking the cystic duct.

Gallbladder inflammation usually results from a gallstone blocking the flow of bile.

Typically, people have abdominal pain that lasts more than 6 hours, fever, and nausea.

Ultrasonography can usually detect signs of gallbladder inflammation.

The gallbladder is removed, often using a laparoscope. Reference: Merck Manual
