What I call heart palpitations

I have heart palpitations or what I call that anyways. it feels like the heart stops for a split second and the pounds one time then starts back. I am usually fine when it does it...but occasionally it will do it like 10 times in a row before it is normal again. Does anyone else have that many in a row? I have been to the cardiologist had the echos and holter and everything showed up ok. I was just wondering if anyone else experiences more that one at a time.

Yes, i sometimes have what i call "a biggy", which is probably a few in a row. It kinda makes me pause for a second or two and then i think its not going to stop. It does, and then i try to forget about it. I know it can be quite a scary weird sensation. I was also ECG'd etc and everything was good.

I think its pretty normal but scary none the less.

Hi Rowina,

Welcome to HW, it's lovely to have you with us. I have never experienced my heart stopping and then doing double duty. It normally just does double duty! It must be scary, but I know a lot of other people who have had the same experience as you. Please feel free to post more about yourself and let us know how you are feeling.
