Sister Friend scared me-WARNING gross

She and I were talking about the R Abscess earlier Today (she helped open,drain and doctor it).She told me it smelled like Cancer,so now I'm scared out of my mind I have Cancer.

Mind you she has Anxiety,Panic Disorder and was housebound Agoraphobic 4 Years (still has Agoraphobic tendencies),however doesn't have HA (Health Anxiety).

Sometimes I wonder if she says scary stuff to scare me when she knows I have HA..she'll say,"Sydnee you've came so far."or "Sydnee 1 Year ago you couldn't talk about spooky stuff or death."

It doesn't bother her if People who come over to her House don't call in advance to let her know they are coming and if someone asks her on short notice to go somewhere she can.I am the total opposite.

If/when she comes over she just comes and knocks catching me off guard instead of calling beforehand and giving me time to prepare.

Few Day's ago she called waking me from a dead sleep and asked if I wanted to go to Town with her Daughter.Said her Daughter would drop me off at the Courthouse as I need to research Land Records.

I was totally unprepared with notes on Land descriptions etc.I hadn't showered,dressed or eaten Breakfast yet.It's like she doesn't get it since this don't affect her..

I am really scared that I have some major form of killer Cancer..I'm scared to death of sickness and death,but she isn't..she wants to die..

I have always been prone to Boils,so must have a Systemic Staph problem.Either that,Anemia or perhaps even Stress coz I've sure had enough of that for a long time.

I was told by my late Grandmother and Step-Mother when we have Boils,it is a sign of poor Blood and to eat Raisins.

Did you mean we can't smell Cancer?I worked at a Health Facility with a few Cancer Patients and YES Cancer can be smelled,but the Abscesses I had smelled like Infection.

As far as your friend, just tell her no when you are not prepared to go someplace with her and you do not have to give an explanation.

If you have a physical problem as you described you need to see your physician and do not start buying into that you have cancer and you can smell it.  Your sister friend is not a physician or does she have any medical training......

As far as hospital  and nursing home smells they are due to a multitude of things. Take a deep breath and know you will be ok.

My Sister Friend is whom I was referring.When I had the Abscess I was still Housebound Agoraphobic and could not get to a Doctor.I haven't been diagnosed with Cancer.Sister Friend told me the matter that came from the Abscess smelled like Cancer.It smelled like PURE NASTY Infection to me!I honestly think she enjoys scaring me.On the other Hand she "thunks" before she thinks..

Thank you for explaining..................7 heads, sounds like a sea creature.......my husband watches to many monster movies lol.  No insult to you or your friend intended.  I am glad the abcess drained.

In reference to Cancer Facilities, your talking to a CCRN of 26 years and I lost my father and all of my aunts and uncles to cancer.

My step mother also had breast cancer and did not go to the doctor so it grew and eventually was an open wound...................no smell.  So I guess it depends on where you have been working.

Now you want to talk about being able to smell certain diseases I can talk that easily........................but you have a right to your own opinions.  :)

So I will agree to disagree on smelling cancer. My husband also has cancer.

Your welcome..she over-exaggerated a bit (she does that sort of stuff)..I am glad it drained to coz it hurt REALLY bad!

Yes,I know you are a retired Nurse and I'm sorry to read you've lost a number of Family members to Cancer.

The two Cancer Patients that stick out in my mind had advanced Bladder and Ovarian Cancer.It smelled..

I'm very sorry about your Husband.I will pray that his Body will be healed from such a horrible and painful Disease.

I am very sorry to hear your Mother is sick.The 2 Women I spoke of were placed by their Families in the Medical Facility I worked and were under Hospice care.The Cancer's they suffered were end stage and I won't go into detail the severity one of the Women suffered.

I am not so much Housebound anymore.Though I don't go somewhere Daily,I still get outside.I believe I am a natural born Staph carrier as I've always had a tendency to have Boils,but also believe my System is in need of a cleanse/detox..

Yes,I realize the Relationship with my Sister Friend is not Healthy,however if I give up on her,it would be like someone giving up on me.She has her own set of problems like me and everyone else.Through it all I try and see the goodness she does possess.
