I'll blast 89X, the local rock/alternative station here, in my car when I'm driving. Some of my favorite artists are Innerpartysystem, Paramore, Acceptance, Linkin Park, and Thousand Foot Krutch, to name a few. I love love love rock music =D

I saw this thread and decided to read through the last one before posting on this one...wow do I feel old and totally out of the loop!  I recognized maybe three or four names...I saw  Bon Jovi and Elvis and knew some of the songs that Lyn listed, but otherwise am so lost!  So I'm guessing that I'll be laughed off the board for my favorite music...don't worry, after loving this man's music for the majority of my life, I'm used to the teasing, so I'll be brave and confess...I love Barry Manilow!  shocked    I'll wait while the laughter dies down.......

There is something about his music that just soothes me.  I first started listening when I was 8 years old, so it's been a near life long bond and I just find myself comforted by his voice.  Plus after all these years, I know every word to every song and can blast it and sing my heart out...as long as no one else is home!   smhair

I do like other music as well, mostly country and songs from the 80's, but when I'm really down it's gotta be Barry.

Wish I could find Barry singing "Love is A Many Splendored Thing," that was my father's favorite. Second runner up ... "I Can't Smile Without You" ...

I love Hell Boy but I don't think he can sing ROFLBO. Yes, I know Barry Manilow.  If you saw America's Funniest Home Videos last week a 3 year old could sing all of Barry's songs by heart and he loves Barry.  He won last week so he will go to the finals. I have a feeling he will win the grand prize.

Ok, I love Country too, Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Martina McBride's Independence Day and A Broken Wing.  Then there is Sugarland's Just Might Make Me Believe.

Scottish music, love it.  Phil Coulter's Scottish Tranquility CD..the best. yeah
