Hi Everyone~
I was just wondering what you do to deal with anxiety, naturally. After weaning-off Effexor (it's only been 2-3 weeks), I'm already thinking of the next AD I want to try. Perhaps I should be in the mindset that I'll try to get through this on my own, without assistance of medication.
I hate the physical symptoms that go with anxiety, epecially that burning in the chest (the adrenaline going to town!). When I exercise I can get rid of that tense, burning feeling, however; in no time at all it comes back!
I have a feeling I'm having more anxiety now because I've been off the Effexor for a few weeks, after being on it for a few years (actually, seven years!). I'm sure it will take my body some time to adjust, I've heard it can takes months for your body to adjust to not being on medication.
Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have.
Also, has anyone gone from being on medication, to getting off of it, to being able to handle the anxiety without going back on meds?
