Joe, thanks you are sweet :). my surgeon is the head of surgery actually (i lucked out there i guess) so you're right, i should just trust that he knew what he was doing.... heres hoping you never break your leg again and i never break my nose again!

Janet...i was only on the painkillers for a day ...probably took 5 pills altogether...but Joe makes sense when he says not every med works for everybody. I wouldn't worry about your daughter - before i had the surgery everyone told me it was a walk in the park. i think my problem has been more the anxiety after the bad reaction i had to the meds...i was convinced for weeks that i was going to die or go crazy. my face hurts like MAD! but i have a really low pain tolerance.......im sure your daughter will be in the majority of people that don't have such an awful recovery. prayers!

I went for a followup appointment with my surgeon today and he ordered xrays to see if theres something wrong with my sinuses or something....so i went to get the xrays and cried like a baaaaaaaby the whole time. so embarassing. im afraid theyre going to call me tomorrrow and be like "alright well you're going to need another surgery" !AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! i couldnt handle it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im still crying in fact and it was an hour ago!!!!
please.no.more.surgery.

janet- i know that exact feeling! we are in control though ..its just hard to remember that sometimes. i wish you less and less anxiety as well darlin!

....the surgeon never even mentioned surgery though and he said it all "looked good" from what he could see...and since i always imagine the worst i am praying "something wrong with the sinuses" will mean i need some kind of spray or something...............oh my goodness if i have to have surgery again i will actually lose my mind

jan:) thank you. im trying to remind myself that im panicing and i wont need more surgery. ive already believed the worst of everything so maybe my doctor will just call and say "you just need some antibiotics...." or something not involving geting my face cut open EVER AGAIN. i find out by wednesday....i will be taking deep breaths until then...........................

I think i messed up i should have just kept posting on this thread instead of making new ones but i couldn't find it lol....
so i got some xrays and they look good, i don't need more surgery :)YAY.
for the last 2 weeks I've felt so much better and i was positive i was almost cured until my ex boyfriend decided to come back into to town, i stayed up until 430 am worrying about it and I also have 5 exams all this week so stress is high. I got a headache (i think from crying about the ex boyfriend) and it scared me because i related it back to the surgery and it made me panic. that was 2 or 3 days ago and since then ive been dealing with the constant anxiety again. sucks. The headache since surgery hasn't completely gone away yet, which is what i think it setting me over the edge. It's better, and duller, but it's still there and it makes me very nervous. my nose is also numb and i can't scrunch my face without it hurting badly! ...anyways, im supposed to be feeling completely back to normal any day now...if it take a couple more weeks im ok with that....the pain right now is a lot more manageable. the numbness and sensitivity in my nose is going to gradually get better over months ..which is also okay, as long as i can avoid touching it and scrunching my face.....i think what i've discovered is that i'm a bit of a slow healer and VERY impatient. . . and also that the anxiety is a million times worse than the actual pain...but i think once the pain is gone a lot of the anxiety will go with it.............
or at least i hope.....
