HI I have a question

HI I am new to this forum. I have had panic attacks for the past 20 years and take zoloft and Klonopin. I have been having like this pain in between my chest that goes to my stomach. I went to the doctor and he sent me nexium. I have been taking it since Saturday night, is that part of a panic attack or could it be acid reflux? thanks

No still feeling with that feeling of a knot. it is terrible because it also gives you shortness of breath. Thank you for answering will also check that forum. thanks again

I too am new to this forum. Friday I was in the ER with terrible chest pain and tightness, nausea, the whole nine yards. It seemed alot worse than any panic attack I'd ever had (15 years and counting). Long story short, they said I had reflux and prescribed Protonix. I too have only been taking it a few days and there are times where I wonder if it is truly helping. One thing I was told is that if the pain is more intense when you lay down and improves when you're upright and moving, that's a sign of reflux. Anxiety doesn't give a rip what position we're in! Have you started a "bland diet?" I'm trying really hard to stick to that as well to see if that helps the symptoms.

A couple times a year I get a very sharp pain that begins in my upper stomach and goes up into my chest and sometimes my throat. The first time it happened, it scared the heck out of me. A doctor thought it was acid reflux. I'm thinking it's anxiety. The acid reflux medicines didn't help. Now when it happens I try to stay calm and I remind myself that I've had it before. I hope you find an answer to this problem.
