So, as you guys know, I am back seeing the psychiatrist due to panic attacks. While she is adjusting my meds, I have to go every 2 weeks.
The first visit...Klonopin .5mg twice daily, Zoloft 50 mg once daily, and Trazodone 50 mg once daily.
I started to feel somewhat OK, except for having to stop the Trazodone because the 2nd day I took it It hought I was having a heart attack a bit after taking it. Also, with the Zoloft, I think the Zoloft, I was finding it hard to finish....sexually.
I brought those things to my doctor's attention, and she went onto explain this:
Sexual side effects are quite common with Zoloft, but she wanted me off of it, so I took 25 mg for 3 days, and then, DONE. She wants me on Abilify 10 MG, because she said that due to some of my characteristics, and the reaction I had to Trazodone, she now diagnoses me with Panic Disorder, and BIPOLAR. Now, am I in Bipolar denial, cuz I am not feeling that diagnosis as being right. And, she kept me on the Klonopin twice daily, at .5 mg, but wants to start taking me off that. And, she put me on Ambien 5 mg at bedtime, due to my inability to sleep.
OK guys....answer me this, PLEASE...once the Klonopin is gone, what is there to help with my panic disorder, that I have been diagnosed with for 12 years? And, why am I all the sudden Bipolar?
I work with an individual who is Bipolar, and I realize that all illnesses differ, but I am NOTHING like him. Am I in denial?
And, this Ambien....uh, I have taken it for 3 nights now, and well, it does help me fall asleep, but not stay asleep, and the side effects scare me.
Guys, I am feeling worse now than before I went to her for help.
Any wise words will be appriciated....THANKS ALL.
Tammy
