I'm in the middle of reading an excellent book on anxiety and seeing my psychologist on the 30th but wanted to know what tips folks might have? Today I got over one "hurdle" when my GI doctor determined that the elevated levels of Alkaline Phosphatase are not coming from the liver. That was the good news. She did however say that meant it's coming from the bone and while the level is "only" 10 points (up 7 points since the last blood test 2 months ago) over the standard range, my mind is already reeling. Of course I had to look up bone disease and elevated levels of Alk Phos. online and what I read tied my tummy and guts up into knots, scared the hell out of me, and hasn't stopped. Not hearing back from my primary care doctor about
this hasn't helped either and while it could be nothing, the worrier that I am has conjured up every disease under the sun and the moon. Was thinking tonight would be a good night to take 1/2 of an Ativan but thought I'd ask folks here too.
Thanks as always.

A couple of thoughts re your post. I would stop googling your symptoms as there is so much info on the net and reading it appears to be increasing your anxiety.
If you have a prescript
ion for Ativan from your Dr. then I would use it as prescribed. JMHO.
Kindly,
Kitt
