I am so sorry you are going through this. I am in the older age group and we took our 17 year old grand daughter in to finish her senior year of high school. Wow, a lot to take in. Our youngest grown child is 35 and our oldest grown child is going to be 42. So this is a whole new ball game. I have been having diarrhea more often from the anxiety I have had. I have had GAD since I was 8 years old.
Was diagnosed when I was 53. I hid all the symptoms of panic attacks etc. from my parents, husband of 46 years, and our four children. I at least feel better now with setraline, gabapentin, and alprazolam. I have had a recent colonoscopy and all was well. My doctor diagnosed me with IBS. I have to take 1 and a 1/2 alprazolam when I get overwhelmed otherwise to the bathroom I go or worse don't make it in time. My doctor has told me this will get worse as I get older, bummer.
Had a bad experience today found out my beloved cat has agressive sarcoma and will have surgery tomorrow morning. They will do a biopsy to see what stage it is. Didn't even notice a bump until Saturday night, and gets bigger every day. Found out it can be caused from vaccinations. Been crying a lot and my stomach is in knots. We just lost a beloved cat 4 years ago and then got two black cats, one female (sick) and one male. Both fixed. Of course, she is my cat totally, also lost another cat that was mine when she was 5 due to diabetes. I almost feel like a jinx.
Thank you for letting me vent, I know there are others in the same boat. Glad we have this forum at least to connect to others with the same problem.
