For the longest time, I have been in touch by email with an ear specialist who is also a neurologist in Phoenix AZ.
He recently had my local Dr. to run tests to try to see why my anxiety can be so acute sometimes.
The results showed a low DHEA of only 59 when they should read 200 to 250.
He recommended 25mg. of DHEA daily.
I feel like a major breakthrough was made by his having those labs done.
It was a pity however, that my naive Dr. and staff just didn't "get it". The day the p.a. read me the results, he said everything was "normal".
There is no way of knowing how many years this has been abnormally low, nor how much good taking DHEA can help.
My advice to anyone here suffering from panic/anxiety, demand your Dr. run tests for DHEA levels. If it is low like mine was, you may have solved a big puzzle!
