Has anyone tried passionflower for anxiety?  doctors won't advise on anything herbal.  :P

You might check with a nutrition store as many have specialists that are very familiar with the herbal remedies available. Also if you use the search feature you will find other threads that speak to passion flower.

I haven't tried passionflower in and of itself, though I have had it in teas mixed with other herbs and found it to have a soothing effect. Personally, chamomile seems to have been one of the more effective herbal teas I've used. I'm sure if you took passionflower in supplement form you'd get a much higher dosage than in a tea.

Don't forget to consider any possible interactions with anything else you may be taking (herbal, western, or otherwise).

I have a chronic health condition and take multiple meds. I have used Passionflower and haven't had any side effects with my meds. The Passionflower is soothing to me, but I consider my anxiety to be a milder form. JMHO
