Xoloft vs Lexapro?

So my dads on strike and we have no insurance. He decided to change my prescription so we could afford it. I was on Lexapro and it took a long hard time to get my system used to it. Now it works wonders. Im afraid if I start taking this generic version of xoloft its going to mess me all up. Whats the difference between the two? Do they do the same thing? Whats the difference?

I have taken both and both worked equally as well (I'm assuming you are meaning Zoloft) for me. I stopped taking Zoloft after many years because it wasn't working anymore and they put me on Lexapro, which has worked well also.

I'm sorry to hear that times are tough for your dad. I think that a lot of people right now are suffering with not a lot of work, which makes for stress, which, for me, eventually leads to anxiety and panic if I'm not mindful.
