Shout Out To Members Who Are Missed

We know that many of you can only check in occasionally, and that not everyone can/wants to post regularly, but...we miss you and want you to know that you are always in our thoughts. Some of you we haven't heard from for just a while, and some have been gone for a long time, so not to name any names or anything...Oh who am I kidding, here goes...

Thank you very much for asking about me. It has been four weeks since my bowel was perforated and I got to catch a piece of destroyed colon as it came out. I had an emergency total colectomy and a transfusion. I haven't posted because I feel so freaked out and I don't feel like I know what to say yet. I know what I already wrote is probably too much information but I really need help. Even with the Xanax I have two panic attacks a day: right before bed time (I am afraid to go to sleep and have to take sleeping pills); and at the time of day I had the surgery even though I know I was unconscious at the time.
When things go wrong with the colectomy appliance I start shaking. It is really hard to clean yourself up and fix the appliance when you cannot stop shaking.
I try to spend time on the ostomy section but everyone is too cheerful and sounds so competent about their appliance that it makes me feel depressed that I just can't seem to get even the littlest things right like putting on a replacement bag (mine always leaks at the attachment area by the second day no matter who puts it on-a nurse or myself).
Geez, I am sorry to be complaining. I have now spent six months in bed. Each day I try to walk a little bit. My last walk was 45 minutes. That is a big improvement. I try to focus on good things but today it has been hard.

Yeah! Haha! Thanks for mentioning me! I guess I sporadically come on really but I still check up:)

I am here...:) Been dealing with a lot lately. Ive recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. helps to have an answer as to why my body has felt the way it has for years. Anxiety has lessened some. but that ais theu sual pattern for me...it waxes and wanes.
Still looking for answers as to my 5 yr olds muscle weakness. Per a " rush order" from her Neurologist, she will be be seeing a geneticist in July. In the reports, the neurologist suspects she has a collagen deficiency. I guess we will wait and see what genetics dr says.
Other than that, we are taking things day by day and she is getting stronger with physical therapy.

Hi guys. Im still here i think. Still dealing with the multiple fractures & pain I have no words for. So frustrated & nervous &irritable. The fibro fog gets me so upset I could throw things. Im scared every moment of every day. I wake up scared. The Addisons is literally killing me...no, its not..its causing bone death & fractures everywhere & Im horrified of them all & more breaking, not healing & having 2 b put n some nursing home...Id die first. Im scared everyday having2 choose between rent or food, meds & dr care or utilities, cable or dental work. Now Ive got some respiratory virus. Im scared becuz the bones/pain gets worse every day. Im hurt because my sons gf has no empathy 4 anyone esp. me. Im terrified & alone cuz nobody gets it. Im sorry 4 spewing self-pity on everybody reading this! Im just worn completely out from 7 months of pain & for a person who nvr needed touch wld trade the world 4 real hugs & holding my hand. Im here!

If I could give you both huge hugs I would. Things are tough all around hugh? Jaimee, my hubby is type I, and he has to really watch his stress, or his numbers get wonky. I am glad that your bgl is looking better! I hope that it stays level. I know it's easier said than done, but try and stay as relaxed as possible. I know life doesn't slow down, but your health is what matters most!
Blue, my heart is breaking for you. I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better. Is is difficult for you to post? If it's not too much, please use this community for an outlet and for support. That is why we are here. We care, and will listen.

Thank you for checking in and as I read through each of your posts and see the struggles each of you are dealing with on a daily basis I ask myself yet again, Why do bad thing happen to good people ?

Remember we are always here to comfort, support an share ideas so count on us to reassure you - your never alone even thow it feels that way. I feel alone so often until I come here and read what each person is going through and how so many make it through come back to support each other.

Thank u everyone for ur support. Ive just been so overwhelmed and in pain and frustrated/angry @ all this I just went undervround and shut down. I DO want your advice and kindness and appreciate each and everyone of you. Im trying to pull out of it but its hard. When I get scared I hide. I have missed you guys and checked my emails for postings to me like ppl cld read my mind or something instead of posting myself. Ill be back and Im working on it. I DO so appreciate you all!

Still here guyz & glad u r. Im always amazed @ the strength & courage everyone here possesses cuz we keep getting up. Literally. I fell nite b4 last & hurt myself again pretty well, laid there abt 5 min b4 I cld get up but eventually found it amusing. U gotta laugh sometimes. U guyz suffer too yet come here to help others in spite of it. HUGGZ

SC- Do most of time. Its 1 reason going 2 stay w/my sister awhile. My boys & I love each other so much but dont want them 2 feel like a captive audience. Need 2 see cpl diff spec neway. Being sisters/ being female can b a plus n giving/ receiving care @ times. Gonna get better I swear. HUGGZ 2 ALL MY COURAGEOUS FRIENDS.
