Citalopram?

10 MGS of Citralopram (Celexa) is an extremely low dose. I would maybe see how counselling goes first and see if you can manage this without medication, however it's a good feeling I bet to know you have the option of Celexa.

I'm currently on Celexa, 60 mgs but getting lowered to 40 mgs due to some issues with the med. I'm extremely sensitive to medications, and lets just say 60 was a bit too much!  I'm new to Celexa (2 months on it) but was on it's "sister" medication Lexapro for four years.  Mild side effects, if any, besides slight drowsiness.

hey Princess Conswela I have been taking Celexa since January. I started at the 10mg and worked up to 20mg. My anxiety is way better I am working doing cbt as well. I tried without the medication for 3 months at first bc i was scared of taking meds, side effects and so on. I got none with this medication except it made me a little sleepy when I first started taking it so I took it at night before bed. My anxiety is much easier for me to work on. So in the long run I am happy I did decide to go with the meds. Now if you think you can go without I would say go for it. But just no that its there to help if you decide to start taking it. and it does take a few weeks to start working. mine was about 3 weeks. and it was little changes at first I would get panicky and it would go away easier.
