Trying to hold it together

I've been trying many different things for my anxiety/panic. Such as excercise, breathing excercises, talking to family members who are willing to listen etc.. But like many of us dealing with anxiety/panic disorders we also tend to have depression in the picture as well. So for not having any panic symptoms(thought the minster had been done away with) for around 10-12 years, I thought I could handle it. Breath through them, work out, etc.. Well that may have worked for me if I didn't begin to become depressed as well with crying spell, worthless feelings, isolation, no zest for life, spiritual emptiness etc.. So I finally gave in and started taking Prozac and though my Dr prescribed 10mg I have been breaking them in half and only taking 5mg. I did not want to have to resort to the long term anti depressant scenario. I'm simulate with myself because I feel like I've let myself down. I've always prided myself on being such a tough cookie and now I feel so weak and vulnerable. Anyhow- I have been taking them for 3 days now and I know, I know it takes 3-6 weeks for full effects but I could swear that the depression has gotten a bit better. Now, this could be that I'm just having "good" days or it could mean that I am feeling some relief from the Prozac. Then today, the wave came : ( Hot and tingley, pounding heart, sense of doo
, choking in throat, can't breath feeling, derealization dream like( more like nightmare like), and of course the sobbing. A huge panic attack! His one was almost one of those "call me an ambulance" types, how silly it seems now that it's subsided and I'm sitting here typing this. I started to panic even more thinking may e the 5mg of Prozac was causing some sort of catastrophic side effect. I so very badly want to try the cognitive behavioral therapy but unfortunately my insurance has no mental health coverage. Right now only my husband is working and so I can't afford to pay out of pocket for the expense. Eventually my goal is to get into therapy but for right now I guess it's the gym, relaxation techniques, and the Prozac(yuck). Anyone have any thoughts?
