Hi just curious if anyone has made the switch to this extended release capsule?

Hey jaymay (welcome back!) Sorry we haven't been of more help in regards to your question. If you have asked your doctor about possible expectations, I might also ask the pharmacist...a lot of times they have some good insight as to how different medication can work and affect you.

Good to meet you. What are you switching from? I have been on Effexor & the generic version and found the XR to work well I took mine in the morning and it did help with my anxiety. The weight gain got to much for me so I decided to switch to an other med. I hope this works well for you let us know how you get on.

I have been on the generic for about 8 or 9 months. I was taking the 150mg once a day until May, then I was upped to 225mg once a day. Seems to work much better than cymbata I was taking for a year or so. at least for me anyway.

I take mine in the morning when I wake up. I have heard of some people say theirs is a capsule or tan color, but I get mine from the VA and it is a coated white tablet

Thanks for the replies. Was hoping someone was in the same boat. Anyway ill probably just have my doc right out a script for the name brand and pay the full 400 dollars for 90 days

Why not try the generic? Are you afraid that it isn't going to work as well? I took effexor extended release for years, then switched to pristiq before effexor went generic. So I have never tried the generic kind. My script was over 600.00 a month, but I had insurance, so that was good. I use to take five capsules a day. I only have to take one of the pristiq.

Yes pretty much i just think its not gonna work and my lifes good right now, I don't want to deal with all the anxiety drama again. Plus i want to wean off by next spring. Just a lot to process.
