Three months ago my life turned upside down. I experienced tingling and burning in my left hand and foot in mid July. At this time, i was working out 6 times a week, living a busy, happy life. After this my world has turned upside down. I have been to two GPs, two neurologist. i have had the following tests run -- 3 EMG/NCV on both legs and one arm, MRI on lumbar, brain, and C Spine, countless blood tests. The only thing that came up positive was a blood test for Aldolase. When retested, it came back normal. I am waiting for the results of the third test to confirm the normal.
To make a long story short, the tingle and burn in July has turned into constant pain in my left cafe and leg, continued tingle and burning in both legs. I have lost 5 lbs, which is a lot for me, and this is now ruling my life. My neurologist told me last week that everything they could test has been normal pending the latest round of bloodwork. Everyday, i feel the pain in my left leg though and it moves from my calf, to my shin, sometimes my knee feels unstable. i have read lots of stuff about health anxiety and panic, but i have a hard time believing that could be my problem. All i know is i feel like a shell of the person i was 3 months ago and can't seem to get a grip. I have a wife and a son so i want so badly to feel normal again. i just can't get past the dread. Always waiting for the next appointment or test result. Am i losing it?
