Good Morning,
I know how easily it is to let your anticipatory anxiety run away with you when you have lab values out of the normal range. Big Breath and know your Dr. would have had you come right in if he thought you were in danger.
The prolactin test measures the amount of prolactin in the blood. From what I understand medications are classically associated with elevations in the prolactin level. Certain psychiatric medicines are well known to do it; others, however, include danazol, isoniazid, verapamil, cyproheptadine, opiates, H2-blockers (cimetidine), and tricyclic antidepressants.
Is your Dr. going to adjust your dosages on your medications ?
Try not to google the topic as you are right - there is just to much info and those of us with anxiety always seem to migrate toward the worse case scenario.
Blessings,
Kitt
