Good Morning Teeram,
Welcome to HealingWell. I am glad you found us and your right anxiety is a huge "Argh" ! The good news is you can learn to decrease your anxiety through therapy and medication as needed.
Actually I like the classification of medication the Dr. started you on. The one medication that worked best for my anxiety and depression was Nortriptyline ( same class as AMITRIPTYLINE ). I was first dx in 1982 and this medication took me from 1982 to 2005 with a few minor set backs along the way. In 2005 it "pooped" out on me for whatever reason. When I first started this medication nobody made much to do about side effects so I just started it and kept on going. I hope your medication together with therapy works well for you.
I loved reading your comment, " I am the mother of four children( my precious gems)". I too am the Mother of 4 children and many of the best years of my life were raising my children. But I had many moments where the stress of being a Mom and working full time were wearing on my mental health and thus My first encounter with a Panic attack, high anxiety and depression.
Good for you for getting out and finding an affordable place to receive help with your anxiety. I admire you for advocating for yourself.
Again, a warm welcome to the board, and post anytime with questions and/or sharing.
Kindly,
Kitt
