Feeling a little scared, anyone out there?

I just projectile vomited and I don't know why.  My stomach's been feeling weird all day, but it I was feeling like I had bad acid reflux and my stomach was feeling really bubbly. I didn't feel neausous until right before I had to throw up. I rarely throw up so I'm not sure what's going on. I suspect it has to do with a piece of stange tasting chicken I had for dinner yesteray. It was thorouly cooked, but it didn't taste right. Of course now my anxiety is kicking up and I'm worried I have something serious. help.

i'm out here panic. First things first, there is a stomach bug going around right now, so maybe you just got that. Or if you say the chicken tasted weird, it may be a case of food poisoning, which is usually managable at home.

I'm sure it's nothing serious, just keep yourself hydrated with some gatorade or vitamin water if you can, and get plenty of rest. Check and see if you have a fever, if so it's probably the stomach bug. Take some pepto bismol if you have any too. If you're still sick and throwing up in like a day or two, i'd say call your doc.

But honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it right now.

Thanks Fox. I've been pretty much up all night. It's been weird though. My stomach feels like it's burning, like acid indigestion, but i don't dare take any more Tums. I took 2 shortly before I threw up. I'm not feeling anxious anymore, too tired :-). I am wondering if I could possibly have an ulcer or something. I've never experienced this feeling in my stomach for more than a half hour or so.

How are you feeling now paniccu? I hope that you are better. My daughter had a single episode of it earlier this week...one and done...but it was pretty huge, almost projectile like.

She was better the next day, and just rested. It was either food posioning or a touch of stomach virus...there have been so many this year!

It sounds as if you are out of the woods, and your stomach may just be sore from the force of vomiting?

Hopefully, you can catch up on your sleep...then let us know how you ared doing!

I am doing much better Scaredy Cat. I was sick all Sat and rested up Sun. I did end up staying home from work today. I'm still not 100% and I got my period and my monthly migraine last night. I feel like I'm falling apart a little, but at least it's temporary! Thanks for asking.
