Hi cln:)
I struggle with worrying about getting sick...of course the big scary diseases are always worrisome, but I also just worry about getting a cold/flu/random illness.
For me, I realized that I worry about this the most, when I have a lot of responsibility, or projects that I am obligated to. I realized that it was the lack of control over illness and the fear of not being able to do the things that I am responsible for that is really the core of my worries.
Take an inverntory of your life right now. Are you currently under a lot of pressure to get things done? Do you doubt your abilities at all? Are you overwhelmed in other areas of life...and this anxiety is spilling over from being spread too thin?
If so, then I would try and scale back somewhere and give yourself some room to decompress, and bring down your overall anxiety levels. I have had to do this for myself!
I hope that you will start to feel better soon. Remember to keep up with your coping mechanisms (breathing/relaxation exercises/hobbies/meditation/exercise, ect...)
Best wishes and talk to you soon:)
