Was with husband, had to come back to parents---stomach problems

 I was so enjoying being with my husband this week and helping him on his truck runs, but one day I got so sick to my stomach I thought I was going to go crazy.  Took some Pepto, then a Promethazine. FINALLY, some relief.  The stomach thing hit me again today, and here I was going to stay with him until Tuesday of next week and I had to drop everything and head back to my parent's house (I have to live with them because husband doesn't make enough and I don't make enough on Social Security Disability for us to live together in a duplex or something).  I have fought this thing with my stomach many times before; I have GERD and gastroperesis (stomach won't empty). I don't have any insurance but I guess it's time I have to make an appointment with my internist doc.  I take Reglan and omeprazole for my stomach, and have promethazine for any fits my psych meds give me.  I miss my husband terribly, and I had to cut short the time....I am grieving and crying and confused.  Why this, and why NOW? I am also angry at myself for being sickly.  Always something or another getting in my way.  But we all know that, that's why we're all here for each other, to get from one day to the next or maybe even one hour to the next.  I'm sorry I'm being such a baby about all this and being selfish, I just need someone to talk to and my parents are out of town tonight.  Love you guys,

I too am sorry to hear that you had to cut your time with your husband short! It is so hard, when you have limited time with him, and every minute is precious.

I understand how you feel. When I have an important event going on in my life, I worry that I might get sick, or feel unwell, and either not be able to enjoy the experience...or that I won't be able to fufill my responsibility/perform the tasks that I need to.

I can get so anxious about it, that I actually start to get symptoms, that then make me feel that I am really sick! Hopefully, the next time will go better for you. If it was something physical, it will pass...and if it was more anticipatory anxiety related (like I get) then you will hopefully feel less of it the next time you are together...just make sure and use all of your coping mechanisms before and during your visit.:)

I know that dissapointment is one of the hardest things for me to deal with...and I hope that you will be able to accept this, and move on toward looking forward to your next time together. I know that living apart has been a huge challenge, but it is temporary...and as far as your visits, there is always another chance, and something to look forward to in the future.:)

I hope that you enjoyed the movie...they are good escapes. Try to stay busy and distracted this weekend.

I am hoping that you are feeling better too. If it is nice out where you are, maybe taking a walk and looking for signs of Spring would be nice. That is one of my favorite activities. The early bulbs and many of the trees are in bloom right now around my area...love it!:)
