I have the same issues as you as far as the whole exercising goes. The higher heart
rate and lightheadedness always made me anxious and panicky.
I found that doing
pilates works much better for me. It is more calm than cardio, which makes your heart race. Don't get me wrong though, it does get it pumping, but not as fierce as with jumping and hopping around like most
cardio workouts tend to do.
I actually just
bought a
new dvd that I am going to be starting as soon as my back is better. It is very relaxing and calming for me, yet it does what it's supposed to. I lost 20 pounds a few years ago, just by doing pilates alone.
This may help you if you don't want to get into the full cardio thing, because God knows, we get plenty of cardio just from the anxiety and panic attacks that make our hearts race. LOL!
