Hi and welcome!
I am glad that you have found us. It sounds as if you have many plans and a bright future ahead of you, so it is important to get that anxiety managed! When the panic is keeping you from doing the things that you want and need to do in life, then it is usually time to get help.
From reading your other responses, it sounds as if you are on your way already! Using positive self-talk/mantras is a great technique to lessen anxiety. Have you learned this on your own? In therapy? Self-help techniques and therapy both work really well in stress management.
There are some great programs in DVD and book forms, on-line therapy (see our Anxiety-Panic Resources) and of course the option of seeking the help of a therapist in person. These are all great ways to get relief and learn coping skills that will aid in combating anxiety and panic attacks
We also have in our Resources (main page 2nd post) links to breathing and relaxation exercises that can be practiced at home anytime. Practicing these everyday will significantly reduce anxiety.
Talking with others who understand what you are going through is also helpful, so stick with us! We are here to help and support.:)
Talk to you soon,
Scaredy Cat
