You are not the first person with another medical condition to also have anxiety that is exacerbated by the crossover symptoms that it causes! This is very common, and understandable.
Therapy will help you learn to lower your overall stress levels (and recognize when they are going into high gear) and this will also reduce the physical response that causes the other issues to flare up...so it's a win-win.;)
Have you ever tried Gaba or Melatonin for sleeping? They are both natural (but still check with your doctor before trying!) remedies that have been proven helpful. Melatonin is something that is alrealy found in the body that aids is getting it ready for sleep. In fact it should only be taken at night an hour or two before you plan to go to bed. See if it might work for you...but check for interactions with other meds first.

p.s. increased anxiety when starting, or increasing an A/D is pretty common, but be sure and give your doctor a head's up about it, and see what he/she says.
