OK.... I'm back from the cardiologist. Had an EKG done again this morning. He says my heart is perfectly healthy, and that the "Sinus Tachycardia" is most likely caused by my anxiety/panic disorders and peri.
He did give me some beta blockers, but he said I don't HAVE to take them if I don't want to, and that instead of taking them every day, twice a day, I could take one here and there if the palps get too bothersome. It's not a life threatening condition, and it doesn't mean there's something wrong with my heart. He said that I just have an "oversensitive heart".
He also said they might actually help some with the anxiety too. So, I'm not sure if I'm going to take them or not. I'd rather not to be honest, as long as I know I don't NEED them. Half the time I have no idea I'm even having the palps because I'm sleeping....
SO, now I can try to TOTALLY relax about
it. This week has been so nerve racking, just waiting to see him and find out that everything is fine. WHEW! Now I can actually breath!
Just thought I'd let you all know, in case you were wondering.
