just for a bit of a laugh

I am currently doing some volunteer work at the loans department of my state museum sorting out a lot of donations they've had sitting around for a while. some is clothing, shoes, bags, and all kinds of house hold items. I came across something today that made me laugh. It was an ad in a woman's magazine from the 20's for a treatment for those suffering from 'nerves' (some symptoms listed as depression, insomnia, worry). The treatment was a nightly glass of 'ovaltine' (a mallty,chocolate powder added to milk for those who don't know. common in Australia, I don't know about other places) lol. I just had to laugh. it would be nice if things were so easily treated.

Glad everyone likes it. I'm just sorry I couldn't find a copy of it to post so you could read all of it. I'm loving this volunteer work. I'm blown away by the work that has been put into some of the hand made clothes, crochet and embroidery. They truly are beautiful, though I could do with out the mothball smells :) If I find any other tidbits I'll be sure to post them.
