I am very glad that you have found us, and that it is a comfort to read the posts here. You are definitely in good company, and will find much understanding and support with our community!:)
It is great that you are getting the help that you need. Many of us have found benefit from therapy (CBT and Mindfullness in particular are popular) and your new P-doc should be able to help you with that, along with your medication needs, should you choose to seek these treatments.
I also recommend trying many different methods of self-help, to see what works to help you deal with the A/P. We have some great ideas in our Resources. You can find this on our main page, 1st post. The links to breathing and relaxation exercise videos are particularly helpful if practiced regularly.
