Hi Simba and welcome!
We are glad that you have found us, and hope that you find much support and encouragement here.
Many of us can relate to the morning/early afternoon anxiety phenomenon...in fact, this is copied from another post that I responded to just awhile ago...
Cortisol is a stress hormone produced in the body. One of its main functions is in getting us up and moving in the morning after many hours of sleep. Without it, we would not be able to 'rise and shine'. It is at its hightest concentration in the morning, and decreases through out the day.
Unfortunately, those of us with anxiety either produce too much of this, or have a sensitivity to it...making us susceptable to a.m. anxiety.
Just realizing that there was a reason for this morning anxiety helped me to deal with it better.
I also increased my coping skills during that challenging time. (right after waking, until about luchtime)
Now mornings are not a problem for me anymore.;)
The coping skills that I mentioned are breathing and relaxation exercises. We have video examples of these in our Resources. (main page, 1st post)
There are other great self-help ideas in there as well...check it out.
Keep posting with us as well. We are here to care and listen anytime.:)
