Hi Darkpaw and welcome!
I am glad that you have joined us. I am sure that you will find much information, support and understanding here in this community.
If I may ask, was your dx of irregular heart beat as a result of the anxiety itself...and benign? If so, then you can safely assume that lowering the anxiety will lessen your symptoms...so therapy and or self help might be something that you want to start/continue.
For me personally, I find that exercise, coping mechanisms such as breathing and relaxation, postive mantras and CBT coping skills are my best tools for dealing with this issue. (I know that you mentioned these, but they bear repeating for others who may be reading!)
Beyond that, I avoid over caffeinating and try not to eat MSG, as these are triggers for me...as well as too much sugar and alcohol.
However, the very best way to make the palps dissappear is also the most simple...I have learned to ignore them. It breaks the cycle of worry=symptom=more worry=increased symptoms.
It is not easy to do, but with time, practice and positive self-talk it can be done!
I hope that you continue to work on lessening your own anxiety and palps and have much success. Keep posting, and we will be here to support you through your efforts.:)
Talk to you soon,
Scaredy Cat
