Need a friend

Hi,

I can empathise with you..I have also had anxiety for many, many years. Sometimes it is quieter than others. Barely anyone other than my husband, children and parents know the extent of how deep rooted it is and how seriously it affects my whole life...

You asked a question nearly everyone with anxiety/panic asks- how will they/you know when something really is wrong?
If you take a little time and read some of the posts on here you will notice a common theme, a recurrent type of conversation. When you do, it may give you some consolation and comfort that it is 'just' anxiety.

I put anxiety in quotes as it isn't 'just' anxiety is it? Anxiety is a thief..a cruel illness that steals some or often, much of our lives, precious time that we could be doing some thing far more enjoyable and interesting...

Try to find a way to overcome it. At the moment I am having CBT again (fourth or fifth time) and it helps so much..verbalising your feelings to a kindly person helps hugely.
Distraction techniques can help too...there are numerous ways to distract the mind...

I know how you feel...I am very alone in this. I have a husband and 3 sons (two adult), but no one understands at all. I don't even have any other family. My Mom died when I was in elementary school, and I am an only child so no siblings to talk with either. Then I lost my Dad last year, and that really sent me over the edge of the anxiety cliff. I am panicky and frantic every day...and I don't even know why.

It's so good to get on this site to realize there are others out there who feel like we do.

Thank you all so much it's just so hard bc I have different feeling/ pains all the time and its to the point I feel like I have cancer or heart problems I have had 2 EKG one in jan and one a couple weeks ago and they came back good but in my mind it still wrong I'm so depressed I'm 25 and I feel like my life had ended
