Update: Doing Alot better with My Anxiety And Panic Disorder!

This past week I was in panic attack mode constantly. finally my mom took me to the emergency room because i was having chest pains so bad and complete numbness on the left side of my body. it was horrible. But luckily they helped me and put me in the hospital for 3 days and was playing around with my meds to see what would work. turned out they ran test and it showed i had suffered 3 seizures. without even knowing! also my electrolytes were low. I was put on Norco 7.5/325MG every 6 hours for pain, Xanax 1MG 4 Times a day, Depakote 1000MG (For the seizures), Prozac 20MG (For My Anxiety and Depression), Naproxen 375MG (for my chest pain.) Ugh so many meds to keep up with! But I'm feeling Much better! not all the way but I'm getting there. Before everyone would just blow me off and say your just having anxiety deal with it, but now everyone in my family understands. I was Diagnosed with Panic Disorder, GAD, Social Anxiety, Hyperventilation Syndrome, And PTSD. Did I mention I'm only 16. lol. dang with all these problems. I'm starting therapy next Thursday. Did they determine the cause of your seizures? Have you have these previously?

No, I had never had seizures before! They said I could have worked myself up so much that the Panic Attacks gave me one but that is rare. They really just don't know. I'm on Depakote for them but they are tearing my stomach up!

I have read about seizures caused by extreme anxiety.

I am sorry that happened to you, and sorry that the meds are hurting your stomach.

I am sure that they will monitor you, and then wean you off of them when no more seizure activity is seen.

Yeah about the Depakote, I'm going to the doctor every week to get my blood levels checked to make sure the Depakote isn't doing harm to my liver. Before I was on Lortab 7.5/500 MG but the doctor lowered me to Norco 7.5/325 MG to get away from all that nasty tylenol that's toxic to your liver! But I still am debating on whether to stop taking the depakote. I know its not the norcos because I've been prescribed Hydrocodone/acetaminophen since I was 12 by an orthopedic (now I get them from my primary care doctor) Thanks for all the feedback ! Wow your going through a lot! Your so young to be going through so much. I want to give u kudo's for getting things figured out and seeking therapy. Sounds like your on the road to getting better. Hang in there.
