Six weeks ago I started having pain under my arms and after a week it went into my breast.  I have used Mitchum deodorant for over 15 years and when I stopped using it the under pain and breast pain gradually went away.  So I thought it may have been the chemicals in the deodorant, but after about 3 weeks of washing under my arms 3 times a day without using deodorant I decided to go to the health store and try the deodorant crystal rock.  The deodorant crystal is supposed to  last up to 24 hours and I was impressed because it actually did last over 24 hours.  But the underarm pain returned.  When using the crystal rock deodorant you have to wet it and then apply it so I'm thinking I may have rubbed to hard because as I said it is a crystal rock.  So I am going to try the crystal rock one more time and I will let you know if the pain returned.  It really would be a blessing if we can just simply change to a non chemical deodorant and resolve the mystery of the underarm pain.

my guess from your story is that it is related to the deodorant You may also want to ask your doc about it just in case.

I tried that deodorant crystal years ago and did not have a problem with it. Are you a woman and do you shave your underarms? The razor can irritate under there. Hope you are feeling better soon.

hi there, is the pain on the skin or inside the arm pit. i would go and get it checked out especially if it is into your breast area.hope you feel better. God Bless

Yes I am a 54 years old woman
I have already been checked and nothing was found and the pain is inside the armpit but the underarm pain and the breast pain is gone. It only happened under my arms when I used the crystal rock. But if I find out anything else I will post it.

Well it's been a few months since my last entry.  Recently I have been to 4 doctors and no one is able to tell me why all of a sudden I can't wear deodorant.  I've been to an allergist, dermatologist, internal medicine and a family doctor.  I have scheduled another appointment with the internal medicine doc to see if she can run test for toxin. 

In response to the question bluemeanies asked regarding shaving, yes I do shave my underarms but I have been doing that for over 35 years but.  The only time I have been irritated was when I used a dull razor.   

So if you know of someone who has the answer please let me know.

Hello this is my first post so please be gentle with me :-)

I have only found this forum as I was searching for underarm pain on the internet.

I have pain under my right arm pit and down the side of my right breast too, I suffer with anxiety and have done for the last few years (I am 30 btw) On Monday I saw my Dr and she said it was just muscular eyes   but after reading through several threads on this forum I know believe it to be related to the anxiety and it may just possibly be "Mouse Arm".

Whenever I have any sort of pain and I mean ANY pain I truly believe that I have some life threatening illness and have 6 mths max to live! Crazy I know but thats me.

I have had the pain on and off now for a couple of months but I really do feel so much better for discovering these forums and finding people like myself :-)   I try to speak to my family about it but I am sure they just think "oh she's off again"  LOL

It is amazing for me to see how many people assume they are dying when they feel a pain. Verity, in your post, I was like, "wow" I do the same thing, and I serioiulsy thought I was alone in this!! I am sorry you are suffering, yet I am relieved to know I am not the only one feeling that way.

I am sorry I have nothing to say about the underarm pain, I just had to comment on Veritys reply!!!

It is an odd feeling and mine only started after I had a child.

I also get annoyed when people say they dont feel well and just brush it off as something and nothing eyes I only feel that way as I just cant brush anything off! I google it to death and then start picking my funeral flowers! LOL!

LOL Verity...it isn't funny, exactly, but I can TOTALLY relate with you googling! It is TERRIBLE! Don't do it...easier said than done, huh???

Infact I suppose that it could be a medical condition all on its own - LOL - & I know I have that one for sure!!!

I guess when you don't know what's causing the underarm pain you get more worried than just concerned. But I read my bible or some other positive books on renewing your mine through the word of God. The more you worry the more you stress about it and then comes the anxiety attacks. It seems that we all have the anxiety attacks so maybe that's the contributing factor. Reading what everyone else is going through also make me feel bettter even though I am sorry that this is happening to us.

It sounds like you have run the gambit of physicians and still do not have an answer.

I admire your determination to get to the root of the cause for this pain as well as your advocating for yourself.

Keep posting and let us know if you find out anything else.

The crystal deodorant still has aluminum in it. Of course aluminum is a naturally occurring mineral but it is made synthetically in that deodorant. Even if it were just the naturally occurring mineral by itself aluminum is a heavy metal and heavy metals are toxic to our system. Whether or not they cause cancer is a whole other topic. You need an aluminum free deodorant. There is a new one on the market. I haven't seen it in stores yet (only at health expo-i suspect they'll be in stores soon) but they do have an online store. www.ticklebodycare.com The stuff is amazing. It works so good. There is nothing toxic whatsoever. They even say as their slogan that they are so natural you could eat it and you actually could!! Not that I have LOL It works as a food powder too! No aluminum, no parabens, no chemicals at all.
