Like a lot of people, I get awful anxiety rash. Others who have it will know that even if I feel perfectly calm, the rash always seems to appear when I'm talking to someone new, doing something that makes me feel awkward or in a situation where attention is focused on me. I get it huge down the left side of my face and under my eyes, all over my neck and chest, huge on my shoulders and all down my arms. It's awful, and unless I wear a snowsuit and balaclava, there's no way I can cover it up. I've tried a 'stop blushing' hypnosis but it only occasionally works. I suppose it's technically not blushing.
I'm not not keen on the idea of beta blockers, but I'm going on a date in a few days and I'm not going to be able to relax if I know I'm all blotchy and gross... Is there a self hypnosis download that someone can recommend for anxiety rash?
(Also it's more that I'm not able to use beta blockers but that I don't want to because, obviously, they slow your heart rate and nothing about that sounds good long term!)
