Anxiety bothering me...

My anxiety has really been bothering me yesterday and today. My mornings and early afternoons are always the worst. I try to keep busy around the house and play with my kids, but my anxiety still bothers me.

Does anyone ever feel like their depth perception is off and get dizzy or lightheaded? Or that the sun is too bright sometimes and it hurts your eyes? I can't remember if I ever read that was a symptom of anxiety or not, but if anyone has ever experienced it, I would feel better knowing I am not alone in feeling that way.

I am on my 3rd week of Effexor XR, still 75 mg though as of right now, taking my Klonopin .5 mg 3 times a day, and 100 mg of Trazodone at bedtime. (I also take Synthroid, Protonix and now Vitamin D once a week for 8 weeks) I haven't googled anything, but I was wondering if maybe the Trazodone could be causing me to feel a little dizzy at times throughout the day - I haven't taken Trazodone before I started it about 2 weeks ago...and it helps me sleep like a baby with no anxiety at night, but mornings are a different story. Or maybe it is simply the anxiety itself?

Can anyone else relate? I would love any feedback anyone could provide.

You have had a lot of med adjustments/additions...as well as worries about your health...so it's not suprising that you feel symptomatic.

I do have trouble with dizzyness/vision issues, and I do not take meds, so yes anxiety does cause this. You could also be having these issues as s/e's from you Rx...or a combination of anxiety and meds.

Try to be patient with your adjustments...and with yourself. Keep up the good work with your coping skills, and keep talking with us...it will get better.;)

Trazadone yes. If taking to late it can have you a lil messed up the next morning,you can always try breaking it in half and that Xr stays in your system through out the day. So the mix is strong wishing you the best of luck in finding what works well for you!

Silky, I don't know how old you are but my right eye has a cataract on it and it has really screwed my depth
perception bad, it interferes with my night driving also the tail lights on other cars seems to make me dizzy,
when entering a house from outside in bright sun I am unable to see anything. Peace

Sometimes I get anxious when driving but I have noticed that it's after a vision disturbance, it makes me
wonder if anxiety caused the dizzyness then I get a little worse, I really think I have the vision thing and it
kinda rattles me mentally, then I get dizzy thinking panic attack, it never goes that far but initially I get
somewhat shook up. Sometimes my Family gets aggravated at me, I am legally blind in my right eye and deaf
in my right ear, so I deal with half a world, I got pissed one day about some smart remark and I challenged
all of them to put an eye patch on one eye and a earplug in one ear for 24 hours. Only one took the challenge but she is solid in my corner now.

It could be nothing more than me reminding you of unpleasant things, I hope not. I know I can look it up
but what is Rhabdo I have never heard of it? Silky I really sometimes feel like a nosey/dumb old man,
I have a desire to be able to Pray for people and then they are healed, I know I'm not a holy person even
at my age I still drag myself through life on clay feet, but I want to help people so bad sometimes I feel
that I just interfere with their logical thinking, I also oversimplify complex situations. I do wish you Peace.

Wow I learn something every day at my age, I probably worry about you more than i should but it's better
than worrying about me. lol

This afternoon I was driving back from my Sister In Law's house with my Wife, I was stopped at a signal light
I don't know what caused it but my vision started to swim and I got seriously dizzy, I pulled into the mal
parking lot and made my Wife drive home, I had no pain of any kind or any other symptoms, now years ago
I would have made Her take me to Er but sometimes the sun light flickering through the trees or a signal light
can really mess up my vision and balance, no I dont feel good but I know I could feel a lot worse.

Larry, I read an account once of a person who would suffer an attack always on their way home.  It took them awhile, but they figured out that it was because out of the corner of their eye, they were seeing plowed fields in rows along the route, and the flickering/repetitve movement was enough to trigger their A/P.

I have trouble with some flourescent lights if they are 'flickery'...and have to limit any video games with rolling screens...and avoid the ones that have a strobe effect all together!

I get this too and as you've already seen, it could be caused by anxiety.
