antibiotics and anxiety

Anyone take high doses of antibiotics and have an increase in anxiety??? I swear it cancelled out my effexor xr which was working so good for me. The antibiotic made all my anxiety come back, I couldn't sleep I had depersonalization. Thankfuly my sleep is back and the dp is better but I'm left with anxiety and p.d. I've read online where high doses of amox. have cancelled out some people's effexor , however doctors and pharmacists say it won't interact.

Everyone's system is different, thankfully you can come off the amoxicillin in a short while. Peace

We have had some threads on this subject here.

You can do a search by clicking on the search icon (above toolbar, right) and inputing key words such as the title of your post, or 'increased anxiety due to antibiotics'

Hopefully things will fall back into place now that you have stopped the antibiotics. Give it a couple of weeks, then call your doctor if you are not noting improvement.
