Yeah first time is right, people think we can deal with anxiety in an instant. They have thoughts about us and look on their faces on how weak we can be by not being able to solve our own problems. My brother even said he'll never be in my situation and if he'll ever get to experience a panic attack, he'll be able to deal with it in a day. They just always give me "Stop thinking about it!" reply. They don't even seem to listen when I'm explaining some weird things happening to me like they don't care at all, like "it's all in your mind." My bodily sensations are real and I just wanted to share how I feel, how I felt alone with this thing before. Glad I found this site. Makes me feel I'm not alone. Helps a lot to my recovery.
But I can't blame them or wish them to feel miserable too. It's true, the only people who can understand us are mostly those who also have anxiety.
